DELIVERING PEER TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

UCHAPS coordinates peer technical assistance (TA) among its member jurisdiction. Peer TA focuses on topics of interest in urban areas and reflects pressing issues and innovative solutions.

ENCOURAGING BEST PRATICES

UCHAPS develop best practices documents based on member experiences to support program development and implementation. Visit the Resource Center to learn more. 

INFORMING FEDERAL INITIATIVES

UCHAPS offers feedback officials at the US Department of Health and Human Services agencies with a focus on the experiences of urban jurisdictions and their HIV prevention-related related needs and works in partnership with these agencies to identify strategies that accelerate our nation’s progress toward decreasing new HIV infections.

EDUCATING POLICYMAKERS

UCHAPS is located steps from the Capitol and regularly educates policymakers about urban HIV prevention efforts to support for a robust and well-funded national HIV response. UCHAPS also provides public comment to federal advisory boards.
