The term “advocacy” encompasses a broad range of activities with the purpose to influence public policy. From research to education, advocacy is one way communities can advance the issues they care about and help bring about systemic, lasting change.
UCHAPS Local Engagement Advocacy Day (LEAD) will promote local advocacy and the power of individuals and communities to create meaningful changes. LEAD encourages individuals and communities to get information, take action, and involve additional people.
LEAD events are occurring around the nation. Be sure to participate in our partners' events. See below and visit National HIV Testing Week for a complete list of LEAD events.
