Prevention, care and treatment teams from health departments and community organizations are continuously seeking ways to better engage MSM of color. This engagement is heavily dependent upon building and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with leaders among the target population. Given the history and current status of relationships with black pride organizations (BPOs) and health departments, HealthHIV, UCHAPS and the Center for Black Equity (CBE) have partnered to present the Engaging Black Pride Organizations as Key Partners in Addressing HIV Among Men of Color who have Sex with Men Webinar.
This webinar will:
Discuss the history, structure, nuances and added value of partnerships between leaders of BPOs and health departments;
Explore the experiences of black pride and health departments in St. Louis, MO and Houston, TX; and
