Shifting the Paradigm: Intimate Partner Violence in the LGBTQ Community

  • Marriot Marquis 901 Massachusetts Avenue Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

When discussing intimate partner violence, the unique issues faced by the LGBTQ community are often overlooked by providers in traditional settings. Experiences of intimate partner violence for queer and trans people occur at similar, and for some populations, higher rates when compared to heterosexuals so it is critical that providers are informed on how to address this issue. Join Ines Tamajong, UCHAPS Program Associate, at the USCA Poster Session on Friday, September 6 at 1:30 PM to learn about intimate partner violence in the LGBTQ community.
