Arrival information

Flights will be available for online check in 24 hours before the departure time. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is the closest airport to the host hotel.

Host Hotel

The host hotel for the UCHAPS membership meeting will be announced soon. Please check back later for more information.

Meals

Although UCHAPS will provide coffee and tea in the mornings, we ask that you take care of your own meals. The hotel offers room service and there is an onsite restaurant. There are also various options in the area surrounding the hotel.

The UCHAPS membership meeting will open with a event has highlights the local work of New Orleans, LA on Saturday evening. The event will open with a few words from Kevin Jones, the Executive Director of UCHAPS.

Membership Meeting Day TWO

The membership meeting will be held in the Calvert Ballroom on the Ballroom Level of the Lord Baltimore Hotel.

During the meeting, participants will discuss the pubic health model for molecular HIV surveillance, debunk myths about molecular surveillance, identify benefits of molecular surveillance, and share best practices in community and government molecular HIV surveillance programs.

By the end of the membership meeting, participants will be able to identify the HIV molecular surveillance and its purpose as well as best practices in community and government molecular surveillance programs and potential benefits in HIV.

Departure information

Ines Tamajong will coordinate group taxi and shuttles after the meeting adjourns. Bring your luggage to the meeting room before 12 PM checkout. Group ground transportation will depart from the hotel lobby.
